Our base is in Henan, China, where development, production and pre-delivery inspection happen in the same place. Keeping those functions together is what makes a custom unit possible without handing the design between three organisations.

What happens on site

The work follows the unit rather than a department structure:

  • Development and detailing turn an approved scheme into manufacturing information: frame, envelope, openings, services and connection details.
  • Frame and envelope are prepared and assembled as a first stage, with dimensions and squareness checked before anything is closed up.
  • Interior and services follow, including joinery, electrical routes and plumbing, with access panels left where maintenance will need them.
  • Inspection before packing covers function tests, sealing, protection and lifting points. The unit is signed off in the condition it should arrive in.
  • Packing and dispatch are planned with the transport route, so protection and lifting correspond to how the unit will actually travel.

What we publish, and what we do not

We do not publish capacity figures, equipment lists or production volumes here. Those numbers change, and an outdated figure is worse than none. Where a project needs verified information about the facility, it is provided directly as part of the enquiry.

The same rule applies to certifications. Documents are shared when they exist and are current; they are not reproduced on a web page to look complete.

How quality is organised

Quality is a sequence of stops rather than a final inspection. Each stage above has a checkpoint that the next stage depends on: dimensions before cladding, sealing before interiors, function tests before packing. A defect found at the checkpoint costs a repair; the same defect found on site costs a repair, a delay and a crane.

Visiting

Clients and their consultants are welcome to visit, particularly when a unit direction is being chosen. Seeing a frame before it is closed, and a finished interior next to it, answers questions that drawings cannot. Visits are arranged through the team in advance so the relevant people are present.

Why it is in Henan

The location gives access to steel, panel and joinery supply within a reasonable distance, and to rail and road routes for export. It is also where the engineering team is based, which keeps the distance between a drawing and the person building from it short.

More about how the facility fits into the wider process is on the engineering and manufacturing page.
